How to get to PolyU

 

 

 

 

By Air (from the airport):

Bus:

Get to the Airport’s Central Bus Station. Take Bus No. A21 (www.hongkongairport.com/eng/aguide/bus.html), and take off at the terminus (Hung Hom MTR Station of East Rail Line). PolyU’s main campus is just opposite to the terminus.

 

Metro:

There is Mass Transit Railway (MTR) metro service between the airport and the city centre (www.hongkongairport.com/eng/aguide/airportex.html). If you take this route, get off at Jordan Station. Get out of the station at Exit D and walk along Austin Road for approximately 10-20 minutes and enter PolyU’s Cheong Wan Road Entrance. Alternatively, you can get off at Hung Hom Station. Get out of the station at Exit A, and then follow the direction signs towards “The Hong Kong Polytechnic University”. Taxi:

Get to the airport’s taxi station and take an “urban” taxi (red in colour) (www.hongkongairport.com/eng/aguide/taxis.html). Depending on the road situation and time period, the cost is about HK$300.

 

 

 

By Train:

From the Chinese-Hong Kong Border (at Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau):

Take the MTR train directed towards East Tsim Sha Tsui and get off at Hung Hom Station. Get out of the station at Exit A, and then follow the direction signs towards “The Hong Kong Polytechnic University”. From Hung Hom MTR Station:

PolyU’s main campus is just opposite to Hung Hom MTR Station. Follow the signs towards “The Hong Kong Polytechnic University”. It takes about 5-10 minutes walk.

 

 

 

By Sea (from the ferry terminals):

Hong Kong-China Ferry Terminal (China-HK City, Tsim Sha Tsui):

The Terminal is located about 10-15 minutes walk from the MTR metro stations (Tsim Sha Tsui and East Tsim Sha Tsui respectively). Follow the metro instructions below. Alternatively, you can get to PolyU by taxi. There is a taxi station at the terminal.

 

Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal (Shun Tak Centre, Sheung Wan):

The Terminal is located next to the MTR metro station (Sheung Wan). Follow the metro instructions below. Alternatively, you can get to PolyU by taxi. There is a taxi station at the terminal.

 

 

 

From within the city:

Cross-Tunnel Bus:

Take any tunnel bus passing the Hong Kong Cross Harbour Tunnel (“Tunnel”) and get off at the bus-stop right after crossing the Tunnel from the Hong Kong Island side, or the last bus-stop before crossing the Tunnel in Hung Hom, Kowloon. Non-Cross-Tunnel Bus:

Take any of the bus routes stopping at Cheong Wan Road, get off at PolyU’s Cheong Wan Road entrance, take the main staircase at Fountain Square to the podium, and follow the directional signage for Jockey Club Auditorium on campus.
